Vancho cake
Vancho cake
The name Vancho came from mixing 2 flavours - vanilla and chocolate.
For this you will need :
For cakes:
4 eggs (room temperature)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup oil
A pinch of baking powder
1/2 baking soda
2 tsp vinegar
For frosting:
1 cup whipping cream
300g white chocolate
100g dark or milk chocolate
150g fresh cream
For sugar syrup:
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
Steps for making cakes
1. Divide the flour and baking powder into half and sieve. Add cocoapowder to the second half while sieving
2. Beat the eggs and powdered sugar with an electric beater until fluffy
3. Add oil and beat
4. Add vanilla essence
5. Combine vinegar with soda and add into the egg mixture
6. Mix all together
7. Make batter into two equal halves
8. To make vanilla cake, add plain flour mixture into and combine with a spatula
9. To make chocolate cake, combine cocoa flour mixture
10. Pour the mixture into pan and bake it for 45 mins (without oven)
11.Make sugar syrup
12.Once cake is done allow it to cool.
13. For ganache:
Double boil 100gm of cream on a stove and to that add the white chocolate .Once melted and comes in pouring consistency, Keep them aside. Repeat the same step for dark chocolate ganache.
14. For frosting:
Beat the whipping cream until it’s fluffy (add icing sugar if needed)
15.Add some melted chocolate to the 1/3 portion of whipped cream . Now we have 2 frosting . Keep both in fridgex
16. Cut both cake equally. And layer them alternatively like chocolate cake- vanilla-choc-vanilla .
17. Add sugar syrup.
18. Add frosting like vanilla frosting for vanilla cake and chocolate frosting above chocolate cake
19. Cover the cake white white frosting and put this cake in the fridge for them to set.
20. Pour the white chocolate ganache on to it evenly. And drizzle the chocolate ganache on it and design with a tooth pick.
